Arcadis Appoints Dr. Santry as Healthcare Market Leader

5 Tips for Choosing the Perfect Paint Colors for Your Home

Arcadis, a leading global design and consultancy firm, has welcomed Heena P. Santry, MD MS FACS, as Principal in the US Healthcare Practice. Dr. Santry joins Arcadis at a pivotal moment in its expansion, bringing her healthcare strategy and thought leadership to position the firm as a one-stop provider for health system design and development rooted in a long legacy of fostering healthy communities.

As a physician deeply committed to improving health outcomes, Dr. Santry will leverage her extensive background as a surgeon, health services researcher, and patient advocate to drive impactful, patient-centered innovations in healthcare design at Arcadis. With a career dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery and ameliorating adverse social determinants of health, Dr. Santry’s insights in population and public health, clinical medicine, and quality improvement will allow her to create highly responsive, integrated solutions tailored to today’s healthcare challenges.

“Dr. Santry’s deep understanding of healthcare systems and dedication to addressing the root causes of health disparities align with Arcadis’ mission to transform lives through design,” said Justin Harris, Global Practice Group Director - Healthcare. “Her mastery will drive innovation within our teams, allowing us to approach design with a clinician’s insight, setting a new benchmark for project delivery to promote well-being and resilience within communities.”

Appointing a physician and public health scientist to the Healthcare Practice Group underscores Arcadis’ strategy to foster diverse, cross-functional teams and draw on expertise from global disciplines, including Resilience, Mobility, and Intelligence, to improve quality of life through built environments. This collaborative, skills-based approach will enable the Healthcare Practice Group to tap into Arcadis’ extensive network, providing healthcare clients a new level of flexibility and responsiveness that will enable transformative designs prioritizing patient outcomes and promoting systemic health equity.

“As a healthcare professional with a long-standing passion for human-centered healthcare design and ameliorating the social and structural factors that affect health outcomes, I am thrilled to bring a clinical and public health lens to Arcadis’s efforts across the Architecture and Urbanism practice,” said Dr. Santry. “By integrating elements that support biomedical and psychosocial wellbeing, we can create a more inclusive and accessible infrastructure that effectively serves diverse communities.”
